The commission's 6-1 vote on Tuesday allocates funds not only to entice the NFL team but also to draw other major sporting events, including the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships and Ultimate Fighting Championship matches, to the region. Florida Citrus Sports, the local sports commission, estimates that hosting the Jaguars could inject over $20 million into the local economy each weekend.
